Kids Martial Arts is given to kids from age 4 and up. Children significantly benefit from the system that is built to suit their needs.The martial arts games, the kicks and punches, as well as the connections with other kids found through Pa-Kua Martial Arts, serve to increase the child's confidence, self-esteem, and social skills. At the same time Pa-Kua Martial Arts teaches the child to respect peers and elders, works on the student's focus and control, and offers the student with the tools required for the full life that lies ahead. This always occurs in a positive atmosphere.

Yoga-

Practice- The Children will work on many different exercises such as stretching and controlling their breathing, and holding positions that will require balance, strength, or flexibility, sometimes requiring all three as the student progresses. This is always done in a fun and enthusiastic environment with music.

Benefits- When we are born we have amazing flexibility. Then, gradually as we get older, we lose that natural flexibility and must work at it. By having your child attend these children’s yoga classes they are able to stretch and maintain that flexibility throughout their life. Yoga has also been proven by case studies to help them regulate their emotions, manage stress, and calm themselves. Studies now show that they may also choose better foods to eat and engage in more physical activity than children who do not study yoga.

Most Pa-Kua schools offer an introductory class in which the student can try out a class before enrolling. The parents can even stay and observe their child participate in the class.

Yoga Classes

Sintonia, or Chinese Yoga, is an ancient art derived from the Pa-Kua knowledge. Through movements and meditation, Sintonia teaches the student to harmonize the body & mind. Chinese Yoga gives the energy necessary to lead a full and healthy life. It’s a way to study ourselves through stretching, postures, breathing techniques, and cardiovascular exercises.

Sintonia provides an excellent source of physical conditioning. The movements tone and strengthen the body while promoting lean muscle and burning calories at a high rate. The stretching exercises increase flexibility, protecting you from injury and providing a greater range of motion, while the breathing exercises oxygenate the body and regulate both the heart rate and the cardiovascular system.

The student also learns techniques to relieve stress and achieve a sense of calm in the midst of the chaos of everyday life. Through the study of ourselves, we come to understand and synchronize with universe. Once a state of Harmony is achieved, we can easily adapt to any circumstance or environment, overcoming culture shock, language barriers, and regional difference, thus finding harmony anywhere. Sintonia can be described as the harmonic interaction between ourselves and the universe.
